Photo of the Day: March of the Swallowtails

Pictured here are the black swallowtail and the eastern tiger swallowtail. The eastern tiger swallowtail is the state insect of Virginia. There are 552 species of swallowtails in the world and they can be found on every continent except Antarctica. I found these gathered in a small pool near a waterfall in West Virginia.
