This photo was not taken by me but it was posted on the USAF’s Basic Military Training Facebook page today. This is a special image because my son Alex is in this photo and he is concluding his sixth week of basic training. He has two more weeks to go until he graduates. I am very proud of him and all these young men and women who chose to serve their country!

I wish him luck! We owe a lot to the troops.
Thank you. I think so too.
Congrats and all the best to him! My middle daughter went through there a year ago – served two tours as a Navy Drill instructor at Great Lakes, Il -;0)
Thank you and thank you to your daughter for her service.
Wow, bootcamp – that’s a tough place to be. I hope he will be always safe and as an American, I am so grateful for his unselfish protection.
It is pretty tough but he’s holding up well and is one of the top trainees in his class. I am very proud of him and I will pass along your gratitude. Thank you Bella.
I know I am a bit late on this, but thanks for sharing this photo. Thank you to your son for his service.
